I love our neighborhood because there is real old school trick or treating. This doesn't happen everywhere in Anchorage- crazy I know!! Our neighborhood is known for King size candy bars and even hot cider and popcorn at some houses. People literally drive in from other areas and it rocks!
I have to admit I was a bit cranky this year. There was snow and Ken was working for the second year in a row- boo hiss!! Marah and I had a little squabble about wearing her winter coat. After a minute, I reminded myself that this was not something I wanted to argue about and all was well. She was also the only one who didn't complain about being cold- Kotelman stubborness in all its glory:)
Now that it's snowed at least a foot and Halloween is past- I have put up our Christmas decorations- oh yes, indeed I did. I had to compromise with Hayden to keep the tree on hold until Thanksgiving- he had some pretty good leverage since he is the one who gets down all the decorations for me from the high shelf in the garage on our very wobbly ladder!! Have I mentioned how much I love that kid!!
